Webbing Slings and Wire Rope Slings: Essential Tools for Industrial Lifting
In the world of industrial lifting and rigging, webbing slings and wire rope slings are known for their durability and versatility. Widely used across industries such as construction and shipping, these slings are valued for their strength and ability to meet diverse lifting needs.
WEBBING SLINGS
We have 2 types of webbing slings available – Flat Webbing Slings and Endless Round Webbing slings. Both are manufactured from high tensile polyester – flat webbing slings are made with double sewn webbing material, and the endless round slings have a sleeve over woven polyester fibre that has been sewn into a continuous loop (one large eye that works like an elastic band – endless). Both offer flexibility and durability and are suitable for delicate or irregularly shaped loads.
WIRE ROPE SLINGS
A wire rope sling is a flexible and durable device used to lift and move heavy loads. It consists of a length of wire rope that is secured at each end to form a loop. The wire rope is made up of multiple strands of steel wire that are twisted together to form a strong and flexible cable. These slings are commonly used in construction, rigging, and material handling applications due to their strength, reliability, and versatility. When selecting a wire rope sling, factors such as construction, diameter, and eye size play a crucial role in determining its suitability for specific lifting operations. Proper use, care, and regular inspection are essential to ensure safety and extend the service life of wire rope slings.
