Across a variety of industries and applications, FLEXIM is regarded as the technological leader in process measurement devices for industrial flow measurement and process analytics. Our portable and fixed ultrasonic flowmeters are robust, clamp-on flowmeters that measure by ultrasound, which means there is no need for downtime or pipe-modification to install
FLEXIMâs non-intrusive ultrasonic flowmeters are particularly valuable in hazardous industrial applications where reliable data and safety are vital. Examples include leak detection and compressed air applications; mining processing plants of abrasive acids, such as high-purity sulfuric acid or ammonium nitrate; as well as the measurement of slurries of up to 50% solids. Our technology can measure temperatures of up to 500 °C and cryogenic applications (-180 °C). Most recently, FLEXIM also invented the worldâs first steam flowmeter. Whatever your industrial measurement application, FLEXIM has a solution for you.
What sets FLEXIM ultrasonic flowmeters apart from others?
FLEXIM flowmeters are NIST-accredited as standard
NIST stands for the National Institute of Standards and Technology and FLEXIM flowmeters are factory-calibrated to these standards. It allows us to guarantee a 1% accuracy reading. No other flowmeter on the market comes standard with this certificate. Approximately, this certification costs an additional ⏠800 to purchase; ours is included.
No downtime, plug-and-play
After installation, the flowmeter will automatically connect to the correct transducer with the correct calibration data. And due to our non-intrusive, clamp-on technology, installation required no downtime or cutting of pipes, which makes it quick and much safer.
Our meters handle up to 10% solids as standard
In most applications, liquid is not entirely clean and often contains some form of solids, such as pebbles and dirt slurry. Most flowmeters on the market start to fail between 3% and 5% solid content. FLEXIM ultrasonic flowmeters can handle up to 10% solids as standard. Weâve even had success of measuring up to 50% solids, which enables us to cater for a wider variety of difficult industrial applications.
Our flowmeters are maintenance-free
Due to unique FLEXIM technology, the transducers of our fixed installation machines make use of an ultrasonic conductive coupling pad with a guaranteed lifespan of up to 20 years and can be classified as maintenance-free. Whereas competitive products make use of a conductive gel that periodically has to be re-applied. Due to our clamp-on technology, our flowmeters are also not exposed to abrasive slurries or chemicals within the pipe itself.
We can measure extremely low flows down to just above 0%
We are the only company to acoustically match our transducer frequencies during calibration, which means there is no discrepancies and we can measure extremely low flows of just above 0%. This feature makes us the ideal choice for leak detection applications. We donât assume a small percentage; we can measure accurately down to this point.
The most advanced diagnostics on the market
User-friendly diagnostics on our meters will confirm that installation is correct and fully functional. This data can be exported and reported on as well. We have all of the required diagnostics and we are able to verify our flowmeters upon installation to ensure it adheres to NIST standards.
A comprehensive selection including EX and IS-rated solutions (explosion-proof and intrinsically safe)
Our flowmeters are certified to be used within extremely harsh applications that require explosion-proof or intrinsically safe solutions and we manufacture the worldâs only intrinsically safe portable flowmeter.
