Turnbuckles & Rigging Screws

A turnbuckle is a tensioning device used with steel wire rope and/or shackles, eyebolts & eyenuts. The tension can be adjusted by rotating the frame; this causes both eyelets to be screwed in or out simultaneously to create tension, without having twisted the eyelets or attached cables. Turnbuckles are available in Eye & Eye, Hook & Hook or Hook & Eye configuration.

A rigging screw is a heavy-duty version of a turnbuckle. It is used as a tensioning device on either steel wire rope sling assemblies and/or chain assemblies. Rigging screws offer a more permanent and rugged solution, as they have a lock nut to set in place after the desired tension has been met. Rigging screws come with two end terminal types suited for various applications: eye-type or jaw-type terminals. Configurations include Eye & Eye, Eye & Jaw and Jaw & Jaw are available
